Red Cross Blood Drive @ Mission

Red Cross calls for blood donors as unique as the patients they help.

In honor of Black History Month this February, and in the spirit of Dr. Charles Drew, an African-American surgeon who was the first medical director of the American Red Cross and a modern blood-banking pioneer, eligible donors as diverse as the patients who need their blood donations are encouraged to give blood to ensure a sufficient blood supply.

BCMS Students Present Biomes Project

A project-based study on biomes in Mr. Frazier's 7th grade science classes in collaboration with inquiry and technology assistance with Mrs. Cardwell in the media center resulted in an exhibit of student work where 7th graders presented to several visiting MES science classes.

Butler County Area Auto Technology students pass ASE Student exams

Students enrolled in the Automotive Technology program recently took and passed the Automotive Service of Excellence Exams for the Fall 2014 semester. ASE Student exams are given to senior students who have just completed the Two year automotive program offered by Butler County Area Technology Center. Instructor Randal Collins said these tests are a good way to gauge the student’s abilities and skill it takes to get and retain an entry level position in the Automotive Repair field.

Train Dirty Fitness

Train Dirty Fitness Bootcamp is a 60-minute workout for all levels and abilities. Experience this total body workout that utilizes resistance training and cardio conditioning to help you attain and maintain the physique you have always wanted. Plus, it’s FUN, doable, and extremely effective.

    The 8 week session will begin on February 3rd, 2015 at the Community Education Building from 10-11am. The cost for this 8 week session will be $45, but the first 10 people to sign up and pay will be given a $25 discount.

BCMS Seeking Community’s Votes As Part Of $200,000 National Education Contest

Schools Receiving Most ‘People’s Choice’ Votes Will Win $8,000 Each---

Butler County Middle School has entered a $200,000 national education contest hoping for a chance at one of the 13 prizes that will be awarded to recognize the best in K-12 innovation. In addition to completing an online application for the fourth annual Follett Challenge, BCMS also submitted a short video to promote its innovative program that teaches students the 21st century skills they need to be prepared for life.

Baby Shower-Marybeth and Derrick Hunt
