Community Action Foster Grandparent Program

Would you like to make a difference in a child’s life? 
If you are fifty-five years of age or older and would enjoy assisting children in a preschool, Head Start, or school environment the Foster Grandparent Program needs you.

A two-week Foster Grandparent Program Pre-service Training will be held beginning March 16, 2015 at 200 East 4th Street in Bowling Green, KY. 
Qualified volunteers will receive $2.65 per hour of service as well as .37cents per mile to and from their service site.

Enter your non-profit into drawing for gate night responsibility for one night of the Green River Catfish Festival. If your non-profit name is drawn, your group will receive $1.00 of every gate fee for that night. Last year approximately $7000.00 was given away to 4 different organizations. Ethan Clark Wins County Spelling Bee

The Butler County Spelling Bee, hosted by the Butler County Retired Teachers and Butler County Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, for students up to grade 8 was held on Wednesday, February 11, 2015. The winner of the 2015 County Spelling Bee was Morgantown Elementary 5th grade student, Ethan Clark, son of Tammy and Kevin Clark of Morgantown.

Welcome Jase Owen Brooks

Jenna Brooks is happy to announce the birth of her brother, Jase Owen. Jase was born December 19,2014. He weighed 8lbs 7oz and was 21 inches long. Jase is the son of Michael and Jenel Brooks of Morgantown.

Bearfest 2015: Queen Molly Sanders & King Jake Martin

Bearfest Royalty Jake Martin and Molly Sanders

The 2015 Bearfest festivities were held on Friday, February 6th, after the girls game of a double header against Grayson County. Jake Martin and Molly Sanders were crowned Bearfest King and Queen in front of the packed stands.

Molly is the daughter of Chris and Aimee Sanders of Morgantown.
