Quality Cruise-In

The 6th annual Quality Cruise-in and Swap Meet was held on Saturday June 27.  It was a really nice day for the event, as it was unseasonably cool for a normally hot June day. 

There were 45 registered vehicles-cars, trucks, tractors and motorcycles.  All money raised, including concessions, goes to the Quality Christmas Parade.

Kayley Jarboe Makes Dean's List at Murrary

Murray, KY. – According to records from the registrar’s office at Murray State University, a number of undergraduate students have earned recognition on the Dean’s List for their scholastic achievements during the spring 2015 semester. Students must have a grade point average ranging from 3.5 to 4.0 to be eligible for Dean’s List status.
    Kayley Jarboe from Morgantown, KY is one of those recognized on the Dean’s List with a 4.0. Kayley is majoring in Mathematics/Sec with a minor in History. She is the daughter of Dirk and Leslie Adkins also from Morgantown.

ABERDEEN BAPTIST JOURNEYS OFF THE MAP

The Aberdeen Baptist Church journeyed off the map during their 2015 Vacation Bible School as they navigated through unchartered waters, “Unknown to Us but Known to Him,” on June 15-19th. The annual VBS was the 20th Vacation Bible School Bro. Roger Taylor has had the privilege of leading.

“Each year the greatest volunteer staff a pastor could ever desire comes together as team players never knowing how the Lord will bless our efforts,” stated Taylor.

Governor's Mansion Hosts Garden Event

Buffy Hargett Miller, Photo stylist for Southern Seasons Magazine, and Butler County Award Winning Author Linda J. Hawkins shares time together at the Governor’s Mansion, Frankfort, KY, Saturday, June 20.They were guest at the Proven Winner’s Signature Garden Event. The gardens were designed by award winning designer, Jon Carlofts. He created the picturesque formal gardens.

GRCF: Beauty Pageants

The Green River Catfish Festival kicks off on July 1 and the beauty pageants start as well.  On opening night the local pageants will be held: Miss Pre-Teen Butler County Catfish, Miss Teen Butler County Catfish, and Miss Butler County Catfish.  The second night of the festival features the babies 0-23 months boys and girls, along with the 2-7 year old girls.  The open pageants will be held on Friday, July 3, with winners going on to compete at the state level, Miss Pre-Teen Butler County Fair, Miss Teen Butler County Fair, and Miss Butler County Fair.
