BCAG’s Gail Smrtic has begun muraling on the side of the old mission building facing the new location! It looks great and we applaud her efforts!  She is requesting help from 3-5 adults this Saturday, August 1st, starting at 9AM.  If anyone is available to participate it would be greatly appreciated! We can't wait to see the finished product!

Marty and Lora Murphy, along with Chelcey and Deanna Jenkins, wish to announce the upcoming marriage of their children, Lydia Murphy and Trevor Jenkins.  The wedding will take place on Saturday, August 8, 2015, at 2 p.m. at Morgantown Community Church.  A reception will follow at the Eva J. Hawes Community Building.  Everyone is invited and welcomed to attend.  

Jump Start for incoming Butler County Middle School sixth grade students will be Thursday, July 30, 2015 from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM  at Butler County Middle School . Modified bus routes will be in place  for transportation.  Students will be provided lunch only this year.  Sixth Grade Open House will be on July 30th at 5:00 PM.

On Tuesday, August 25th a substitute school nutrition employee training will take place at the Butler County Educational Complex Board room from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.  Successful completion of this training will make you eligible to become a substitute school nutrition employee for the Butler County School System.

Our next Second Saturday Class, “Cheaper by the ½ - Dozen” is scheduled for Saturday, August 8th at the Butler County Extension Office.  Set up time will be 9 a.m. with the class getting underway at 9:30 a.m.

On behalf of the faculty and staff at Butler County High School, I want to welcome all of our upperclassmen returning to BCHS.  I want to give a special welcome to those incoming freshmen.  Freshmen, the most important year of your high school experience is the one that you are starting next year.  I want to remind you that universities and scholarship committees not only look for good grades, but they also look for students who are well rounded.  They are looking for students that are involved in the school, community and leadership roles.
