Bears to visit Adair County

MORGANTOWN — Butler County is set to visit Adair County for its final Class 3A, District 2 matchup in the 2025 high school football season on Friday, Oct. 24.

The Bears have lost to the Indians in back-to-back seasons. However, Butler County reeled off four straight wins over Adair County from 2007-2010.

The Bears will be looking to halt a losing skid at five games.

Butler County is 3-5 overall and 0-4 in Class 3A, District 2. The Bears opened the season 3-0, registering wins over Breckinridge County, Ohio County and Todd County Central.

Lady Bears fall to Grayson County

BROWNSVILLE — Butler County suffered a season-ending loss to Grayson County in the semifinals of the 3rd Region Girls' Volleyball Tournament.

Grayson County shut out Butler County 3-0 (25-16, 25-12, 25-14) during the semifinals of the 3rd Region Girls' Volleyball Tournament at Edmonson County on Tuesday, Oct. 21.

Bears lose district game to Hart County

MUNFORDVILLE — Butler County couldn't battle back from behind as Hart County pulled away to win 42-7 in a Class 3A, District 2 game on Friday, Oct. 17.

The Raiders won on Homecoming Night.

Bears to visit Hart County for district matchup

MORGANTOWN — Fresh off an open week, Butler County is set to visit Hart County for a Class 3A, District 2 matchup on Friday, Oct. 17.

Hart County has notched back-to-back wins over Butler County. The Raiders defeated the Bears 50-15 in the two teams' last meeting on Sept. 20, 2024.

Butler County is 3-4 overall and 0-3 in Class 3A, District 2. After opening the season with three straight teams, Butler County has suffered four consecutive losses.

The Bears have claimed wins over Breckinridge County, Ohio County and Todd County Central.

Bears fall to Glasgow in district game

MORGANTOWN — Butler County was limited offensively as Glasgow won 64-12 in a Class 3A, District 2 game on Friday, Oct. 3.

Glasgow dealt Butler County its fourth consecutive loss. The Bears remained in the loss column for the fourth straight week after opening the season 3-0.

BCHS Girls' soccer wraps up 2025 season

The 2025 Butler County High School Girls Varsity Soccer team wrapped up its season this week, following a hard-fought first-round loss in the 11th District Tournament. Although the season ended sooner than hoped, the Lady Bears demonstrated grit and flashes of promise throughout a challenging campaign.
