Bears Softball set to open at Breck

MORGANTOWN - The Butler County softball team is preparing to open its 2018 season on the road at Breckinridge County on Monday, March 19. Weather permitting, Monday's game will serve as a season opener for each Third Region softball team.

4th Grade BC Lady Bears Basketball Competes First Season

The Butler County Lady Bears 4th Grade Basketball team completed their first season together this past weekend finishing 3rd at the Ohio County Eagles March Madness Tournament.  The Lady Bears lost in the semi-finals on Sunday to a very good Breck County Lady Tigers team. Plagued with foul trouble and injuries from start to finish the Lady Bears couldn’t keep pace losing 32-14..

'Blonde Bomber' Jay Shidler Made Big Impression On A Lot Of UK Fans

Louisville's Karen Guess Eversole was infatuated with Jay Shidler during his UK playing career. She's remained a UK fan and so are her husband and sons.

He came to Kentucky known as the “Blonde Bomber” because of his bleach blonde hair and long-range shooting ability.
