Fiscal Court Meeting

Several Rochester citizens attended the fiscal court meeting on Monday, February 24, at the Butler County Courthouse. The group sought help from the County with the clean-up after the flooding.  
"They are ready to start cleaning up the mess and need help now, said Allen Smith, Third District Magistrate. "Nobody wants to wait for FEMA, which could take several months."

MB&T Donates Over $18,000 to Local Schools and Organizations Through Spirit Card Program in 2024

(Feb. 28, 2025) – Morgantown Bank & Trust continues its commitment to supporting local schools and organizations through the Spirit Card program, contributing a total of $18,413.49 to 16 organizations in 2024. In the fourth quarter alone, $6,504.99 was donated to participating schools and programs in Morgantown and Bowling Green, with checks presented this week.

Frankfort man has first case of measles in Kentucky in 2 years

FRANKFORT – Officials with the Kentucky Department for Public Health (DPH) and Franklin County Health Department have announced a confirmed case of measles identified in an adult Kentucky resident, which they are calling the state’s first case in two years.

House passes bill on manufactured homes

Rep. Susan Witten, R-Louisville, speaks on House Bill 160 on the House floor on Tuesday. The bill would ensure qualified manufactured homes that meet strict standards for size, age and permanent foundation are treated the same as site-built homes in single family residential zones.
