KSP Post 3 warns public of scam phone calls

Kentucky State Police, Post 3 Bowling Green has been contacted by victims in the post area regarding a phone scam.   Citizens have received calls from someone stating they are a trooper with Kentucky State Police and there is civil litigation against them. The caller then demands an immediate payment over the phone to avoid being arrested.

Kentucky is one of the leading sleep-deprived states, ranking fourth in the percentage of adults reporting that they get less than seven hours of sleep per day, 40.5 percent. So says the 2020 Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System survey, a continuing national poll by the Census Bureau. The U.S. rate was 34.8%.
