Legislators on the Interim Joint Committee on Education garnered insight from Kentucky’s top education official Tuesday regarding development of the state’s new education assessment and accountability model.

Commissioner of Agriculture Jonathan Shell joined dairy industry representatives and dairy producers on Tuesday, June 3, to sign a proclamation honoring the dairy industry and June as Dairy Month in Kentucky.

FRANKFORT, Ky. (June 5, 2025) — Kentucky is known for its rich and vital farmland, but members of the Interim Joint Committee on Agriculture heard testimony Thursday about how much is being lost and efforts to prevent the trend. 

Cardwell Family Farms and Struttin Rooster Farm, located in Butler County, have been accepted into the 2025 Kentucky Farm Bureau (KFB) Certified Farm Market Program, which is celebrating its 30th year.

Butler County Fiscal Court met on Tuesday, May 27, at the courthouse.
