Wreck On Flat Rock Road

A single vehicle accident on Flat Rock Road has sent one person to the Medical Center in Bowling Green.  On Friday evening shortly after 7:00pm Dustin Stil, 24, of Bowling Green, Kentucky, was driving a Ford Ranger headed toward Russellville Road when he left the road and struck a tree.

Morgantown Bank & Trust's Spirit Card Program Pays Off For Butler Co. Schools

Morgantown Bank & Trust's  Spirit Card program saw another increase over the 1st quarter with total contributions to the Butler County School System of $3,558.66!

"This program has generated almost $15,000 to Butler County Schools since February of last year and we are excited to see its continued growth and participatio," said Jason Jones of Morgantown Bank & Trust.  

Brad Young of Morgantown Bank & Trust handed out the checks.

Guthrie to Hold Town Hall in Butler County

Congressman Brett Guthrie (KY-02) will host a town hall in Butler County on Thursday, August 14, 2014, at 4:30pm CST at the UK Extension Building located at 112 E. GL Smith Street in Morgantown, Ky. The town hall will be open to both the general public and the media.
“It is an honor to represent Kentucky’s Second District and I look forward to hearing what’s on the mind of my fellow Kentuckians,” said Congressman Guthrie. “There are so many issues in the news today and I think it’s important to provide an opportunity to discuss them.”

Agricultural Producers in Kentucky Still Have Time to Apply for  Direct Farm Ownership Loan Program Low-Interest Loans Can Help Producers Start or Expand Farms    
The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Kentucky Farm Service Agency (FSA) Executive Director, John W. McCauley, today announced that farmers and ranchers still have time to apply for low interest 2014 loans available through FSA’s direct farm ownership program. The deadline to submit applications is Sept. 30, 2014.

Morgantown Prescription Center has been acquired by Fred's Pharmacy

A well-known local business will have its first name change in over 50 years with new ownership.  Morgantown Prescription Center has been acquired by Fred's Pharmacy and is scheduled to become a Fred's Express Pharmacy later this month.

The Prescription Center was established in 1962 by Don Thomason and June Thomason McGuyer. It has been owned and operated for the last 11 years by Donnie and Cindy Wilkerson.

Fred's Pharmacy is headquartered in Memphis.
