Members of the Tri-SKY Collaborative Early Childhood Council, serving Butler, Edmonson and Warren counties, were delighted to partner with Butler County Schools, Morgantown City Council and Butler County Fiscal Court in recognizing early childhood educators by declaring May 7, 2021 as Early Childhood Education Day in Morgantown, KY. 

Resilience and strength are often developed through experiencing the successes, failures, joys, and difficulties life has to offer. To recognize the individuals who built have built our communities, Butler County is recognizing May as Older Americans Month in partnership with the Kentucky Circuit Clerks’ Trust For Life and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

The 1st Quarter checks have been cut in the School Spirit Card program and Morgantown Bank & Trust is proud to announce a total donation of $8,462.23.

Since the program started in early 2013, donations have totaled to $212,004.68. These spirit card donations are made in partnership with our customers based on their use of their favorite school or program debit card. This is 100% funded by the bank with the intention of enhancing the spirit of giving and to assist our youth throughout our community.

March 1 – 31, 2021

Butler County Fiscal Court met in regular session on Monday, April 26, at the Butler County Courthouse. All magistrates - Stevie Givens, Kevin Phelps, Timmy Givens, David Whittinghill, and Dillon Bryant - were in attendance.

Morgantown, KY -ApriJ 27, 2021 Serving as the regional host applicant, Butler County has recently engaged in a county-wide strategic planning process to support an update to the Regional Multi-Hazard Mitigation Plan. Representatives from Butler County and several community organizations/stakeholders are actively engaged in this process with the Barren River Area Development District. Beginning this past January, Butler County formed a local Steering Committee to guide the effort at a grassroots level.

The Morgantown-Butler County Chamber hosted a ribbon-cutting at Limitless Minds, LLC on Monday April 26. The new business is located in the Rose Plaza in Morgantown.

Missy Graehler, LCSW, and Bret Parks, LCSW, are the therapists, while Tina Phillips serves as a case manager. Carla Wright is the administrator and billing specialist.

FRANKFORT, Ky.—The 2021 General Assembly saw progress on many issues important to the business community. The Kentucky Chamber announced the recognition of ten legislators who displayed conspicuous actions which helped ensure this success.

The family-owned business has grown significantly since opening its doors in 1995 and have expanded outside of Kentucky with routes now in Tennessee, Ohio, and Indiana.
