The Butler County Bears hit the road for the first time on Friday night.  It was a great trip for the football team as they picked up win number two for the season.  Butler County 45  Breck Co.

The Butler County High School Boys Golf Team has been very busy this past week. They participated in a 18 hole invitational at Western Hills this past Saturday and had three matches.

Butler County found itself on the wrong end of a lopsided score on Friday night in Morgantown as the Russellville Panthers handed the Bears a 41-0 homecoming loss.

Butler County Bassmasters was founded in 1988 when several men in the Aberdeen Baptist Church got together and decided to put together a bass club with Michael Embry serving as the first club Tournament Director.

The stadium was packed on Friday night as the Butler County Bears faced off with the Panther of Russellville High School.  Homecoming activities were held prior to the game.  Congratulations to the 2013 Homecoming Queen and King Isabella Corona and Chad Cardwell.

An athletic and speedy Russellville team will be making the short trek to Morgantown tonight to face the Butler County Bears in a Homecoming 2013 gridiron match-up.  Butler County (1-0) defeated Logan County 47-0 on opening week.  The Bears were idle last week.  Meanwhile, Russellville (2-0) beat

This is the upstream view from the Barren River #3 Voluntary Public Access site at the KY 101 Bridge in Warren County. Barren River offers paddlers incredible scenery, highly productive fishing and easy, gentle floating. Visitors can combine a weekend of floating the river and boating on Barren River Lake.

When pioneers first saw the section of south-central Kentucky south and east of what is now Glasgow, the vast grasslands confounded them. They felt the soil too poor to support trees and believed the region barren.
