As we draw closer to the end of the 2018 Regular Session, there has been no shortage of movement on significant bills in Frankfort this week. The Senate Appropriations and Revenue Committee has spent several days and some late nights working on the Senate’s budget proposal, which we expect to go before the committee soon.

Now that the General Assembly is in the home stretch of the current legislative session, activity in the legislative committee system is in overdrive. There are only a couple of weeks left in the 2018 Session. The pace of activity in the Capitol is sure to continue increasing in the days ahead as the Senate continues work on the Commonwealth’s budget proposal.

ARE YOU A DOCTOR YET ? -As many of you reading this know, this past week has been a bit of a rough one for our family. For a little while now, my mother has been battling some health issues . Recently she has had to be hospitalized a few times in quick succession and she needed extra care even after coming home. My sister and I have been doing our best but my sister has been battling some pretty serious health issues of her own and of course I have the demon of cancer, which saps a lot of my strength and energy.

Everyone has their own stress coping mechanisms.  I turn to music first.  I took to the internet to discover some ways people cope and came up with some good ones.  1.  Personal growth.  Lots of people work on themselves after, say, a death of a loved one.

March has arrived, and it’s a transition month. The weather is cool one day and warm another. Although we’ve had some beautiful weather, I’m still reading instead of getting outside. But spring is just around the corner.
