Thomas "Tommy" Marshall Richardson

Thomas “Tommy” Marshall Richardson, age 86, of Morgantown passed away on Feb. 14, 2025.  He was born in Franklin, KY on Sept. 5, 1938.  Thomas was in the HVAC business.  He was preceded in death by his parents James Marshall and Lula Mae Hamlett Richardson.

Thomas is survived by his wife Nancy Stevens Richardson; children James, Tammy, Joe, Micheal, Tarra, Mark, Susan, Judy, Dana and Cindy; several grandchildren and several great grandchildren; siblings Billy and Marie; many nieces and nephews.

Michael Allen Hatcher

 Michael Allen Hatcher, age 63, of Morgantown, KY passed away on Thursday, Feb. 12, 2025 at his residence.  He was born in Bowling Green, KY on Aug. 16, 1961.  Michael enjoyed woodworking, watching tv and UK basketball.  He was preceded in death by his parents Ernest and Mary Magdaline Johnson Hatcher; sister Anna Martin and brother Troy Hatcher.

Christopher “Chris” Tyson Davis

Beaver Dam- Christopher “Chris” Tyson Davis, 40, passed away on February 10, 2025, at his home in Beaver Dam.  He was born September 29, 1984 in Bowling Green.

He worked for Asphalt Services in Ohio County.  Chris enjoyed music, guitar, riding motorcycles and loved his dog Daisy.

He was preceded in death by his dad, Don Davis and his step-dad, Doug Porter.

Survivors include his daughter Casseldra Gillim; mother Jenny Porter and his paternal grandmother Rolene Davis.

Connie Gwynne Hammers Jones

Connie Gwynne Hammers Jones, age 67, of Morgantown, KY passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2025 at the Hospice of Southern Kentucky.  She was born on March 17, 1957 in Greenville, KY.  Connie was of the Baptist faith and a director of the Hospice of Southern Kentucky.  She enjoyed sewing, flowers, gardening, rock hunting, reading, cooking and spending time with her grandkids and great grandkids.  She was preceded in death by her husband Ronnie Jones and her fur babies Sasha and Lucy.

Randall "Lum" Coleman

Randall “Lum” Coleman, 86 of Hartford, Kentucky passed away on Sunday, February 9, 2025 at Signature Healthcare of Hartford. He was born on February 1, 1939 in Shultztown, Kentucky to the late Matthew and Myrtle Felty Coleman. Lum was a United States Army Veteran, a member of New Harmony Baptist Church, and he retired from TVA. He enjoyed his morning coffee visits with his buddies at the truck stop and loved going to flea markets.

Vetta “Gaye” McCoy

Vetta “Gaye” McCoy, age 73, of Bowling Green, KY passed away on Sunday, Feb 9, 2025 at the Hospice of Southern Kentucky.  She was born on Sept. 5, 1951 in Butler Co., KY.   She was a member of Oakland Baptist Church.  She touched the lives of many children and families during her 40 plus years of babysitting.  Gaye enjoyed spoiling her grandchildren and all the kids she took care of.  She was preceded in death by her parents Rev. Lawrence and Velma Tomes Phelps; siblings Ovanna Hardy, Vendon Phelps, Glen Phelps, Jerry Phelps, Sue Steff, Laymon Phelps, Veda Salling and Una Maye Kennedy.

Martha Anderson

Martha Anderson, 85 years young, of Little Bend, Kentucky passed away Saturday, February 8, 2025, at UK Bluegrass Hospice in Lexington. She was born Friday, August 11, 1939, in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Joy Durwood Read and Edith Taylor Read. Mrs. She retired after thirty years of service from Preformed Line Products but devoted most of her time to her passion for outdoor activities such as camping, gardening, and traveling with friends. She was a girl scout leader to older girls inspiring self-reliance and confidence in the next generation.

Betty Childress Ferrell

Betty Childress Ferrell, age 68, of Morgantown, KY passed away on Thursday, Feb 6, 2025 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, KY.  She was born on Aug. 13, 1956 in Butler Co., KY.  Betty was a member of New Midway Baptist Church.  She was retired from Sumitomo Electric and also worked at the Boys and Girls Club.  Betty loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father Weldon Childress and brother-in-law Mike Ferrell.

Billy Thompson

Billy Thompson, 66 of Hartford, Kentucky passed away on Thursday, February 6, 2025 at University of Louisville Jewish Hospital. He was born on June 6, 1958 in Louisville to the late Joseph Alvin and Mary E. Saling Thompson. Billy retired from Bob's IGA after 48 years where he served in numerous management positions. After retirement, Billy worked as a bus monitor for the Ohio County School System. He was a member of Hartford Christian Church.
