Gloria E. Williams Jernigan, age72, of Cromwell, KY passed away on Monday, Feb. 24, 2025 at the Beaver Dam Nursing and Rehab Center.  She was born on Nov. 23, 1952 in Owensboro, KY.  Gloria was a homemaker and enjoyed painting, art and gardening.  She was preceded in death by her former husband Ronald Southard; mother Ora Ethel Bartley Brown; sister Patricia Wiggins and Betty Sue Roof; son-in-law Steve Merideth.

Rev. Bill J. Embry, age 81, of Browder, KY passed away on Feb. 24, 2025 at the Morgantown Care and Rehab Center.  He was born in Butler Co., KY on July 13, 1943.  Bill has been a minister since 1970.  He loved reading, studying and fishing.  He was preceded in death by his daughter Beverly Jean Embry; parents Bill and Emma Johnson Embry; brothers Wendell Embry and Joddie Embry; sister Carolyn Renfrow.

Nancy Stonecipher Welch, age 70, of Morgantown, KY passed away on Friday, Feb. 21, 2025 at the Morgantown Care and Rehab Center.  She was born on Feb. 17, 1955 in Depauw, IN.  Nancy was a homemaker and enjoyed playing computer and board games, puzzles and crocheting.  Her life was her kids and grandkids. She was preceded in death by her parents Everett and Nina Watson Stonecipher; children Jenny Welch and Danny Welch; brothers Michael and Donald Stonecipher.

Daniel E. McLean, age 58, of Morgantown, KY passed away on Thursday, Feb. 20, 2025 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, KY.  He was a drywall hanger and a member of Barnett’s Lick Baptist Church.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing guitar, collecting coins, model cars, arrowheads and was an avid Dallas Cowboy's fan.  He was preceded in death by his parents Mac and JoAnn Bennett McLean; several brothers and a sister.

Tammy Lynn Poole Deel, age 59, of Morgantown, KY passed away on Thursday, Feb. 20, 2025 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, KY.  She was born on Jan.

Christopher “Chris” Eugene Turner, age 49, of Leitchfield, KY passed away Saturday, (February 15, 2025) at Owensboro Health Twin Lakes in Leitchfield.

He was born on September 23, 1975 in Morgantown, KY, the son of Bobby and Janice Simmons Turner.

He was a railway conductor for CSX who enjoyed camping, fishing, watching sports – especially when the UK Wildcats were playing – and spending time with family and friends. 

HARTFORD - Christy Lynn Higdon - Louisville KY Born July 21st 1964 and went to be with our Lord on February 16th 2025.

Christy was the daughter of Bob and Francil Higdon of Hartford Ky.  She was the big sister to 4 brothers: the late Ron (Angela) Higdon of Lenior City TN, Eric (Andrea) Higdon of Crestwood KY, Kelley Higdon of Nashville TN,  & Nick (Katie) Higdon of Evansville IN and  the aunt of several nieces and nephews.

Joice A. Johnson, age 78 of Morgantown, KY, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 16, 2025, at the Hospice of Southern Kentucky in Bowling Green, KY. Born on Wednesday, October 2, 1946, in Louisville, Kentucky, Joice's life was a testament to the power of love, dedication, and service.
