Joann Bethuram Bivins

Joann Bethuram Bivins, 82, of Dixon, Ky. passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2023 at the Hillside Center in Madisonville, Ky.  She was born in Evansville, IN on March 21, 1940 to the late William Ritter Bethuram and Mary Ruth “Ted” Moore Lampe.  She was a member of Victory Worship Center in Dixon. Joann loved to sew, knit, crochet and loved to read her bible.  She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Jeanne Bourque.

J.B. McKinney

J.B. McKinney, age 88, of Morgantown, Ky. passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2023 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green. He was born in Leetown, Ky. on Dec. 18, 1934 to the late Mondie and Louise Kitchens McKinney.  J.B. was a member of Sandy Creek Baptist Church and was a truck driver.  He enjoyed farming with his son and riding horses and mules.  He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Dyke McKinney, Billy Ray McKinney, Royce McKinney, William T. McKinney and Layman McKinney; sister Virginia McCoy and companion Omie Kimmel.

Anna Clark Phelps, age 85, of Roundhill, Ky. passed away on Monday, Feb. 27, 2023 at her residence. She was born in Butler County, Ky on May 22, 1937 to the late Rado and Gussie Clark.  She was a homemaker and a member of the Trinity Full Gospel Tabernacle Church.  Anna loved gospel music and gardening.  She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Estill Phelps; sisters Lorene and Ruby; brothers Newt and Bunt Clark

Sheliah Sue Burton, age 76 of Bowling Green, KY formerly of Morgantown, KY passed away Sunday the 26th day of February at the Commonwealth Regional Specialty Hospital in Bowling Green, KY. Sheliah was born on Tuesday the 19th day of November 1946 in Butler County, KY to Nevel Lee Phelps and Reva P. Embry Jones. Other than her parents she is preceded in death by her long time companion Charles Daugherty; one brother Lee Phelps and one sister Marilyn Cardwell.  Sheliah was a member of Morgantown Church of Christ and Eastern Star.

Throney Clay Kirby

Throney Clay Kirby, age 76 of Morgantown, KY passed away Saturday the 25th day of February at his residence. Throney was born on Sunday the 26th day of January, 1947 in Butler County, KY to the late Henry Clay and Nokie Beliles Kirby Burden and husband of the late Camilla Kaye Hammers Kirby. He was a United States Army Veteran and enjoyed fishing, hunting and chickens. Other than his parents and wife he is preceded in death by his sibling Willie, Ross Ed, Cooney, Henry and Peggy Jane Kirby. 

Throney Clay Kirby is survived by several nieces and nephews.

Judith B. "Judy" Moore

Judith B. "Judy" Moore, age 82 of Morgantown, KY passed away Sunday the 26th day of February at her residence. Judy was born on Saturday the 19th day of October 1940 in Hopkins County, KY to the late Elmer Earl and Dora Thelma McCormick Burden. Judy was the wife of the late George Moore. She was preceded in death by the mother who raised her Oma Burden; one brother Jimmie Burden; nephew Timmy Burden and one niece Paula Miller. She was a member of Salem Missionary Baptist Church and Kentucky Nurses Association. Judy retired after 32 years as RN at the Butler County Health Dept.

Hannah Marie Gilbert

Hannah Marie Gilbert, age 67 of Morgantown, KY passed away Wednesday, February 22, 2023 at her residence. Hannah was born on Saturday, April 9, 1955 in Morristown, New Jersey to the late Francis and Mary Mullins McCullough. She was the owner and operator of J H Select and was very involved with the Humane Society. Hannah enjoyed gardening, saving animals, walking and day trips.

Hannah Marie Gilbert is survived by her husband John R. Gilbert of Morgantown, KY; one sister Mary Christopher husband Steve of California; best friend Deanna Peterson of Lebanon, TN and one nephew.
