Claude Givens

Claude Givens, 92, of Beaver Dam, Ky. passed away on Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital.  He was born on September 27, 1926 in Butler Co., Ky. to the late Jack and Lelia McCoy Givens.  He was a member of Word Missionary Baptist Church.  Claude was a WWII Army Veteran. Claude retired from Inland Steel Co. in East Chicago Indiana.

Ella V Bailey, 89, of Beaver Dam, Kentucky went to her heavenly home surrounded by her family on Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at Ohio County Hospital under the care of Hospice of Ohio County. Mrs. Bailey was born in Hardin County, Kentucky on March 4, 1930 to the late Lawrence Johnson and Ora Whitten Johnson.

Carmen Richardson, 95, of Morgantown, Ky, passed away Monday, March 4, 2019 at The Medical Center of Bowling Green, Ky. Carmen was born April 24, 1923 in Butler Co., Ky to the late Major and Alta Daugherty Howard. She was a member of Aberdeen Missionary Baptist Church, Eastern Star and the Poet Society. Carmen retired from General Electric in Owensboro, Ky and was a legal Ombudsman for the state of Ky. She was also a published poet and loved animals and gardening.

Laura H. Darsey, 69 of Rochester, Kentucky passed away Saturday, March 2, 2019 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, KY. Laura was born January 7, 1950 in Fulton County Georgia to the late E J and Laura McIntosh Hutchinson. She was a member of Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church and loved playing the piano and organ. Laura enjoyed spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren.

John Coeburn “J.C.” Smith

John Coeburn “J.C.” Smith, 66 of McHenry, Kentucky passed away on February 27, 2019 at his home surrounded by his beloved family. He was born on January 11, 1953 in Harlan, Kentucky to the late John and Bessie Cavins Smith. J.C. worked at Nestaway for 25 years and went on to retire in 2008 from his construction business.

Glen Adkins, 57, of Morgantown, Ky. passed away on Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at the Norton Audubon Hospital in Louisville, Ky.  He was born in Butler Co., Ky. on February 27, 1961 to the late Ray and Bonnie Lindsey Adkins.  Glen was of the Baptist faith and was a landscaper.  He enjoyed fishing and catching up with friends and family. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers DP, Charles and Jimmie Adkins; sisters Rebecca Adkins and Sally Morris.

Bobby Gene Raymer

Bobby Gene Raymer, 70, of Roundhill, KY passed away Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at his residence. Bobby was born March 23, 1948 in Butler County, Kentucky to the late Olen and Goldie Johnson Raymer. He was a member of Roundhill Church of Christ, a United States Army veteran, worked at Holley Carburetors for 20 years, and retired from Stoody Company after 20 years of service. Bobby loved doing yard work and going to church.

Virginia Lois Richan Palmer, 95, of Morgantown, Ky. passed away on Sunday, February 24, 2019 at the home of her niece Kathy Douglas in Morgantown.  She was born in Acequia, Idaho on  June 10, 1923 to the late Roy and Ida Ellen Simmons Richan.  Virgina married L. Dean Palmer on Dec 2, 1942  in the Salt Lake Temple.

Charles Cameron Childress

Charles Cameron Childress, 66, of Morgantown, Ky. passed away on Saturday, February 23, 2019 at the Medical Center of Bowling Green.  He was born in Butler Co., Ky. on August 15, 1952 to the late Garland and Dora Niccum Childress.  Cameron was in the Army Corps of Engineers during the Vietnam Era and loved to farm. Cameron was a member of Sandy Creek Missionary Baptist Church.  He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Everett, William “Lester” and Raymond Childress.
