David T. Peay, 54 of Morgantown, KY passed away Friday, April 19, 2019 at the Hosparus Health Inpatient Care Center in Louisville, KY. David was the son Anthony Tyler and Doris Eluevone Embry who survives. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and a Kentucky Colonel. David loved fishing, hunting and spending time with his family.

Darlene Tomes, 84, of Morgantown, Ky. passed away on Thursday, April 18, 2019 at the Medical Center of Bowling Green.  She was born in Grayson Co., Ky. on January 24, 1935 to the late Marcus and Nettie Embry.  Darlene was a lifelong member of Christian Home Church of Christ.  Darlene had several businesses in Morgantown through the years and she enjoyed horseback riding. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Thorston Tomes.

Jerry E. Flener, 87 of Morgantown, KY passed away Tuesday, April 16, 2019 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, KY. Jerry was born April 4, 1932 in Brooklyn, KY to the late Rheed and Iva Lee Flener. He was a United States Army Veteran, member of the VFW and NRA. Jerry retired from Ingram Trucking, was former police officer and detective in Stanton California and former police officer for the Morgantown City Police. Jerry loved watching NASCAR races. Other than his parents he is preceded in death by 4 brothers Gavin, Dause, Tilford and James Flener.

Dorothy Jean Vincent, 88 of Rochester, Kentucky passed away Wednesday, April 17, 2019 at the Morgantown Care & Rehab. Dorothy was born April 2, 1931 in Greenville, KY to the late Walter Lee and Eva Belilies Addison and wife of the late Lewis C. Vincent. She was of the General Baptist Faith, enjoyed quilting, crocheting, knitting and spending time with her family. Other than her parents and husband she is preceded in death by one son Keith Vincent.

James Darryl Rogers

James Darryl Rogers, 61, of Beaver Dam, Kentucky began his final rest on Friday, April 12, 2019 at his residence. He was born April 30, 1957 in Louisville to the late James E. Rogers and Claudie A. Miller Rogers. Darryl retired from The Carmel Home in Owensboro, and was a member of Ohio County Seventh Day Adventist Church. At the young age of two, Darryl began his lifelong love of music and playing the piano sitting beside his mother.  He was a member of several southern gospel bands throughout his lifetime, playing for many events, family, and friends.

Patricia was born June 25, 1959 in Albuquerque, New Mexico to the late Luke and Thelma June Brown Church. She attended Mt Vernon Missionary Baptist Church and was a United States Coast Guard veteran. Pat loved spending time with her grandson Damian and enjoyed her dogs.

M.D. Bryant, 71 of Morgantown, Kentucky passed away Thursday April 4, 2019 at his residence. M.D. was born February 12, 1948 in Butler County, Kentucky to the late William Dave and Lillious Phelps Bryant. He was a member of Christian Home Church of Christ where he served as a elder for 21 years and a United States Army Veteran serving in Vietnam. M.D. was a 1967 graduate of Butler County High School, 1977 graduate of Bowling Green Business College and retired from Country Oven Bakery after 25 years.

Shirley Farris, 82, of Echols, Kentucky went to her heavenly home on Thursday, April 4, 2019 under the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky. She was born July 6, 1936 in Detroit, Michigan to the late James F. Growbardger and Christine Pillow Galvin. Ms. Farris retired from Thomas Industries and was a member of Echols Daystar Church of God.
