Arthur Ray Cardwell

Arthur Ray Cardwell, 91 of Morgantown, KY passed away Sunday, June 6, 2021 at his daughters residence. Arthur Ray was born on Wednesday, March 12, 1930 in Butler County, Kentucky to the late Wade and Mary Ann Brooks Cardwell and husband of the late Anna Mae Brooks Cardwell. He was a member and deacon of Leonard Oak General Baptist Church and a retired coal miner. Arthur Ray loved rabbit hunting and spending time with family especially his grandchildren. Other than his parents and wife he is preceded in death by one son Larry Ray Cardwell; four brothers and three sisters.

Patsy L. Renfrow, 65 of Caneyville, KY passed away Wednesday June 2, 2021 at the Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center in Leitchfield, KY. She was born August 24, 1955 in Butler County, KY to the late Spurgeon Gidcumb and Mary Collene Paschal Gidcumb. Patsy retired from Sumitomo Electric Wiring System and was a homemaker. She enjoyed gardening, playing the french harp and loved roses.

William Kenneth Madison, age 91, passed away peacefully June 2, 2021. He was born to the late Harry and Hallie Madison on December 3, 1929, in Rocky Hill, Kentucky. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 65 years Faye Thomas Madison and two sons; William Alan Madison and Mark Thomas Madison, and grandson Timothy Kirk Madison.

Mildred K. Brown Davis, age 82 of Lewisburg, passed away at 4:54 am Monday at the Medical Center at Bowling Green. She was born to the late Deward F. and Mildred Venice Wester Brown. Mrs. Davis is the widow of Hugh L. Davis. She is also preceded in death by her son Terry Nicewinter, sister Betty June, and brother James "Butch" Brown. She was a retired insurance Sales Agent and a Baptist.

Tilford Allen "Big AL" Flener

Tilford Allen "Big AL" Flener, 67 of Morgantown, Kentucky passed away Friday, May 28, 2021 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, KY. He was born on Tuesday, December 1, 1953 in Louisville, KY to the late Tilford G. Flener and Juanita Stamper Kinard. Tilford "Big AL" was a member of Woodbury Missionary Baptist Church, retired from Holley Carburetors but was a painter by trade. He was a avid World of Warcraft player for 15 years, he loved fishing, spending time with family, making twisted walking sticks and a story teller of tall tales.

Scottie “Fatsy” Lane Embry

Scottie “Fatsy” Lane Embry, 47, of Morgantown, Ky., passed away on Thursday, May 27, 2021 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, Ky.  He was born in Bowling Green, Ky. on Dec. 22, 1973.  He was a drywall hanger and of the Baptist faith.  Fatsy loved to coyote hunt, fish and ride horses. He liked to start trouble, as in bark, but couldn’t take the bite. He was a devoted son, brother and friend.  He is preceded in death by his parents Debra Kay Lee and Ronald Lane Embry and nephew Austin Lane Dockery.

Chet “Chuck” Embry Jr.

Chet “Chuck” Embry Jr., 67, of Leitchfield, Ky., passed away on Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at Norton Healthcare Pavilion in Louisville, Ky.  He was born in New Albany, IN on Dec. 29, 1953 to the late Chelcie Embry and Mae Lou Embry Whaley.  He was a member of Fairview Church of Christ and enjoyed playing with his dogs, watching tv and spending time with his nephew Shawn.  He is preceded in death by his parents.

Chuck is survived by his sister Alice Carol Frank; nephew Shawn Frank (Christal) and great niece Olivia Frank.

Zelma Lee Vaughn Hammers

Zelma Lee Vaughn Hammers passed away peacefully in her sleep Thursday, May 20, 2021, at her residence in Bridgewood Gardens in Albertville, AL. She was born February 8, 1933, in Huntsville, Kentucky, to the late Osborn and Doxie Ferrell Vaughn. She married Owen Glendon Hammers in 1948. They lived just outside the Detroit city limits in Wayne County, MI, from 1950 until 1961. Owen was one of the earliest salesmen for the Fuller Brush Co. They resided in Indio, CA from 1961 until 1986 where Owen worked for the City of Indio Fire Department until his retirement.

Bobby Thomas Austin Jr., 60, of Bowling Green, Ky., passed away on Friday, May 21, 2021.  He was born in Bloomington, IL on Feb. 8, 1961 to the late Bobby Thomas Austin Sr. and Freida Mae Clark Duncan. He enjoyed racing and riding his motorcycle.  He is preceded in death by his parents.
