Arthur Ray Cardwell, 91 of Morgantown, KY passed away Sunday, June 6, 2021 at his daughters residence. Arthur Ray was born on Wednesday, March 12, 1930 in Butler County, Kentucky to the late Wade and Mary Ann Brooks Cardwell and husband of the late Anna Mae Brooks Cardwell. He was a member and deacon of Leonard Oak General Baptist Church and a retired coal miner. Arthur Ray loved rabbit hunting and spending time with family especially his grandchildren. Other than his parents and wife he is preceded in death by one son Larry Ray Cardwell; four brothers and three sisters.

Arthur Ray Cardwell is survived by two daughters Bernice Deweese husband Tony and Judy Collins husband Rick; eight grandchildren Scotty Deweese wife Michelle, Stacy Fox husband Billy, Lori Moore husband Dwayne, Jeremy White wife Amanda, Beth White husband Jonathan, Jarred White, Heath Cardwell all of Morgantown, KY and Heather Spillman husband Cody of Glasgow, KY; several great grandchildren, great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews,

Funeral services will be held at the Leonard Oak General Baptist Church on Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at 1:00pm with Bro. Roy Alford and Bro. Terry Johnson officiating. Burial will be held in the Noah Johnson Cemetery where Jeremy White, Scotty Deweese, Heath Cardwell, Jarred White, Cody White, Matthew Moore, Cody Spillman and Kevin Brooks will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 8, 2021 from 4:00pm - 8:00pm at the Jones Funeral Chapel and Wednesday, 10:00am until funeral time at 1:00pm at the Leonard Oak General Baptist Church.
