Donald Keith Grise

Donald Keith Grise, 85, of Bowling Green, Ky passed away Tuesday, August 10, 2021 at his residence. Donald was born January 17, 1936 in the Graveltown community of Butler Co. to the late Rudolph and Mary Whitney Grise. Donald was a member of Huntsville United Methodist Church and retired from ER Carpenters in Russellville, Ky. He was a jack of all trades, enjoyed carpentry, collecting antiques and spending time with his family and friends.

Gerald Dwayne Morse

Gerald Dwayne Morse, age 65, of Morgantown, Ky., passed away on Friday, Aug. 6, 2021 at his residence in Morgantown, Ky.  He was born in Tupelo, Miss. on March 15, 1956  to the late Claude Morse Jr. and Elaine Forsthye Morse.   Gerald was on the 1973 Kentucky All State Football team.  He received a Master’s Degree in business administration and a Bachelor’s Degree in industrial technology.  He worked in the Health Safety Management sector of the oil and gas industry and enjoyed golf and watching sports.  He is preceded in death by his parents.

Nelda Ruth DeRoy

Nelda Ruth DeRoy, 87, of Morgantown, Ky, passed away Saturday, August 7, 2021 at Morgantown Care and Rehab. Nelda was born August 18, 1933 in Huntsville, Ky to the late Gobel and Lora Gaston Gardner. She loved to crotchet, knit and cook and specialized in cakes. Nelda was the office manager for Embry Impressions for several years. She is preceded in death by her parents.

Lucy Jane Pendley, 84 of Dunbar, Ky passed away Friday, August 6, 2021 at Greenview Regional Hospital. Lucy was born April 2, 1937 in Butler Co. Ky to the late Clyde O. and Eva Mae Bingham Pendley. Lucy was of the Baptist faith, she enjoyed sewing, cooking, gardening, quilting, bird watching and spending time with her family. Lucy worked at many sewing factories in Morgantown including Kanes and Kellwood, retiring from D&D Sewing Factory.

Phillas Jean Morris

Phillas Jean Morris, 78 of Morgantown, KY passed away Tuesday, August 3, 2021 at the Greenview Regional Hospital in Bowling Green, KY. Phillas was born on Monday, January 11, 1943 in Butler County, KY to the late Mayburn and Aster Kessinger Daugherty and wife of the late Dewey C. Morris. She was a member of New Liberty Missionary Baptist Church and enjoyed crossword puzzles, playing solitaire, dancing and spending time with family. Other than her parents and husband she is preceded in death by one brother Johnny Clay Daugherty.

Timothy "Tim" Wayne Geary was born on August 22, 1963 to Buryl Aleen Bratcher Geary and Robert Joe Geary in Louisville, Kentucky and was raised in Georgetown, Indiana.

He had three sisters: Connie, Kimberly, and Annette, and boy did he never miss the chance to remind them that he was his Momma's favorite.

Michael (Mike) Dale White, 51, of Morgantown, Ky., passed away on Saturday, July 31, 2021 at the TriStar Greenview Hospital in Bowling Green, Ky.  He was born in Morgantown, Ky. on Dec. 14, 1969 to the late Dale White and Mary Phelps White, who survives.  He was a member of New Liberty Baptist Church and was a mechanic.  Mike enjoyed drag racing, playing pool, camping, fishing and watching NASCAR in his recliner.  He is preceded in death by his father Dale White and nephew Cody Smith.

Noatley Glendel “Bob” Lee, age 84, of Morgantown, Ky., passed away on Sunday, Aug. 1, 2021 at the TriStar Greenview Hospital in Bowling Green, Ky.  He was born in Leetown, Ky. on June 2, 1937 to the late Harry and Dixie Tines Lee.  Bob was a member of Sandy Creek Baptist Church, a retired farmer and truck driver for the Butler County Road Dept.  He enjoyed attending Bluegrass Festivals and listening to Bluegrass music.  He is preceded in death by his parents; brother Kenneth Rayburn Lee; sister-in-law Brenda White, brother-in-law Charlie Mosley and his beloved granddog Sadie Lee.
