This past year has been exceptionally challenging to find ways to entertain kids, but even during normal summers, you are going to have increased chances of hearing “I’m bored,” since your children no longer have schoolwork to keep them busy.

CLARKSVILLE, TN (05/12/2021)-- Austin Peay State University congratulates Kayla Green of Morgantown, KY, on being offered the Provost Out-of-State Scholarship for high-achieving freshmen for the Fall 2021 semester.

Out-of-state students meeting the criteria of a 3.5 GPA qualify for a Provost Out-of-State Scholarship.

Mike Porter receives Conservation Award from DAR

Butler County Chapter of the KSDAR presented to Mike Porter of Rochester, KY, the Conservation Award on April 22 at the Rochester Community Center before their April meeting. Conservation award requirements are outstanding efforts in wildlife and nature centers, resource management, park establishment, conservation-related media, and education.

My Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) Patriot

My DAR patriot is Rev. Moses Taylor. My eligibility to join the DAR is through my grandmother, Annie (Grubb) Flowers, who married Allie "Al" Flowers. She is the daughter of Millard Franklin Grubb, who married Susan R. Taylor. Susan R. Taylor was the daughter of Rev. Alfred Taylor, Sr. who was the son of Joseph Taylor, the son of Moses Taylor.
