The Butler County High School Class of 1960 is hosting a Class Reunion at Salem Baptist Church Fellowship Hall.  The reunion is Friday, July 2 at 4:00pm  This event is cartered by Green River Carters.  Please RSVP to Christine Whittinghill Flener at 270 526-4390. Cost is $15.

Throughout their years in 4-H, members have numerous opportunities to explore and engage in leadership roles. Leadership skills are an important part of 4-H programming, because they help young people develop critical thinking, communication and life skills. These skills will help them become productive citizens and tomorrow’s leaders and decision makers.

There is no doubt that we are all running out of ideas on how to keep our children entertained. This past year has been exceptionally challenging to find ways to entertain kids, but even during normal summers, you are going to have increased chances of hearing “I’m bored,” since your children no longer have schoolwork to keep them busy.

Several churches have sent in their Vacation Bible School dates and would like to invite everyone to attend!

Aberdeen Baptist Church Vacation Bible School is June 14-18 from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm. 

CLARKSVILLE, TN (05/12/2021)-- Austin Peay State University congratulates Kayla Green of Morgantown, KY, on being offered the Provost Out-of-State Scholarship for high-achieving freshmen for the Fall 2021 semester.

Out-of-state students meeting the criteria of a 3.5 GPA qualify for a Provost Out-of-State Scholarship.

Butler County Chapter of the KSDAR presented to Mike Porter of Rochester, KY, the Conservation Award on April 22 at the Rochester Community Center before their April meeting. Conservation award requirements are outstanding efforts in wildlife and nature centers, resource management, park establishment, conservation-related media, and education.

Did you know you can monitor your own credit for free by checking your credit report? You have always been able to access your free credit report from each of the three credit bureaus annually. Now, because of COVID-19, the bureaus are offering free weekly online reports through April 2021.

My DAR patriot is Rev. Moses Taylor. My eligibility to join the DAR is through my grandmother, Annie (Grubb) Flowers, who married Allie "Al" Flowers. She is the daughter of Millard Franklin Grubb, who married Susan R. Taylor. Susan R. Taylor was the daughter of Rev. Alfred Taylor, Sr. who was the son of Joseph Taylor, the son of Moses Taylor.
