Mt. Vernon Baptist Church 1813-2013

Congratulations to Mt. Vernon Baptist Church on their 200th anniversary.  They celebrated on Saturday night with an outdoor play written and directed by Roger Givens.

The performance reenacted the church's heritage from Indain Camp Church, which was first established in 1813.  The name was changed to Mt. Vernon in 1870 and was unofficially known as Greenbrier to many.
