Little Muddy Rural Development Club Pie Supper Saturday, May 10th at 5:00 p.m. Auction starts @ 6:00 p.m. At the Little Muddy Community Center (red brick building). Located eight miles south of Morgantown on Hwy 231 beside the Little Muddy Cumberland Presbyterian Church. (Across from Carson Bridge Rd.) Hamburger or Hotdog Meals $5.00 - Hamburger or hotdog, chips & a drink included in the meal.
Morgantown Bank & Trust held their Annual Egg Hunt on Saturday at the Charles T. Black City Park. A large crowd gathered to kickoff the Easter season. The Easter Bunny was in attendance and took time to take pictures with some of the children. The children who found eggs were treated to candy, money and some great prizes. At the end of the event, door prizes were also handed out.
The Good News Community Center will be holding their annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 19 from 11:00 – 2:00. Children from 1 yr to 5th grade are invited to come. Lunch will be served before the egg hunt. If you would like to donate a bag of candy for the eggs, please drop them off at the Center located in the old 5th District School at 5401 Caneyville Road.
On Friday, April 11th, Oak Ridge Christian Academy will be having a Dinner & Auction located at the Oak Ridge Gymnasium. The meal will begin at 5:00 pm and the auction will begin at 6:30. The meal will be a plate meal with your choice of BBQ or Hot Dog. Each meal includes drink, dessert, and your choice of baked beans or cole slaw. The BBQ Plate Is $6 and the Hot Dog Plate is $4. Come out and enjoy a great night for a good cause.
On Easter Sunday, April 20th, the Adult Choir at First Baptist Church will present "Because He Lives." Everyone is invited to attend this special musical presentation at 11:00 am. The Choir is under the direction of Bill Camp. Greg Wallace is the pastor. All hearts and souls will find eternal hope as we celebrate the victorious resurrection of our Lord and Savior.
