  Moses Taylor cabin in Warren County, KY, was still standing in the early 2000s.

Moses Bullard Taylor, Sr. served during the American Revolution by paying for supplies for the military. His Patriotic Service was done in North Carolina according to the North Carolina Revolutionary Account books. He had seven sons and five daughters. Some of his family members also served during the revolution. After the war the Taylors, Daughertys and Beasleys were among the many who made their way to Kentucky by passing through the Cumberland Gap, to take possession of land grants.

Be Safe During Lightning

According to The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), in the last ten years (2013-2023), five lightning fatalities have been reported in Kentucky, along with 25 injuries.

Pendley and Jones achieved World Class Technician

Campbell Chevrolet is proud to announce that Collin Pendley and Wesley Jones has achieved World Class Technician status.  

All technicians have the unique opportunity to become World Class Technicians through the training and certifications available from the General Motors Service Technical College and ASE training programs (380 hours of additional training in 9 Master Technician areas).  As of March 2024 there are approximately 27,900 GM service technicians nationwide with only 2,065 attaining World Class Technicians status.

Patriots of the American Revolution Memorial in Warren County, KY

Zachary Cole (Zacheus or Zachariah), son of Captain Joseph Cole, Sr. and Freelove Mason Cole, served in the American Revolution as a soldier for Virginia. From Summers, annals of SW Virginia, part 2, page 1385; he served in McFarland’s Company in Washington and Montgomery Counties. His family was able to serve in the war efforts in many ways. Zachary’ s father Captain Joseph Cole, Sr. gave Civil service for Virginia, his brother Joseph Cole, Jr.

Beasley-Blanchard Cemetery: Benton, Tennessee

William Beasley served as a Private in the American Revolution for the state of North Carolina, enlisting before he turned 18 in about 1780. According to Pension document # S*W9352; BLWT #51879-160-55, issued June 6, 1833, in the Butler County, KY court, he served under Captain David Roach who was killed at Camden, SC, then under Captain John Stevenson when he marched on to Wilmington where they joined Col. R. Richards troops. After completing that service, he volunteered and then joined for another four months.

GRCF: Pageants

Pageants continued on Saturday with Miss, Teen, and Pre-teen, Mrs. and Little Miss and Master catorgies.  Miss Catfish in all levels was also open to Butler County residents only.

GRCF: Pageants 0-7

 The zero to seven year olds kicked off the 2024 pageants of the GreenRiver Catfish Festival.  The event was sponored by Laurie Keen Photography, Tiffany's Tanning, and Becky Hankins. Winners included:
