NJROTC's Trip to Owensboro Coast Guard Station

On the morning of October 5, 2015, thirty cadets in the Butler County High School NJROTC unit went to the Owensboro Coast Guard Station where we went on a two hour boat tour of the USCG (United States Coast Guard) Cutter Obion.

Life Is Cool Comin¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬g to North Butler Elementary

 The Donate Life Kentucky State Team will be bringing the “Life is Cool” program to North Butler  Elementary on Wednesday, October 14.  The program is a hands on, in-house ‘field trip’ that helps students better understand how healthy choices keep one’s body healthy.  The curriculum includes 5 weeks of lessons in the classroom and  is followed by an in house demonstration of ten stations that show how organs, tissues and eyes benefit by choosing a healthy lifestyle at an early age.

Chamber Open House

The Chamber of Commerce would like to invite everyone to come to our Open House on Monday October 12th from 11am to 1pm.
Come and have some cake and punch to celebrate the Chamber’s 33rd year of being in Butler County.
There will be some old photo albums and articles that have been kept. We have also done some sprucing up inside and out.

Ray Stevens at SKYPAC by: Andy Sullivan

Harold Ray Ragsdale, known professionally as Ray Stevens, brought his Here We Go Again tour to SKYPAC Friday night, October 2.  The 76 year-old country-pop singer/songwriter and comedian made audiences howl with performances of his legendary comedy songs such as “The Streak”, “Mississippi Squirrel Revival”, “Guitarzan”,  “Shriner’s Convention” and countless more.
