Butler County School Nutrition Program is excited to be operating the Summer Feeding Program

The Butler County School Nutrition Program is excited to be operating the Summer Feeding Program during the 2016 summer which provides free breakfast and lunch for any child 18 years old or younger.  Participating sites are required to attend training to become aware of changes which have taken place and review the program guidelines.  Two (2) individuals will need to be trained for each site.

The Butler County United Methodist Women are hosting their ANNUAL SPRING TASTER'S LUNCHEON on APRIL 29, 2016 @ Morgantown First United Methodist Church in the Fellowship Hall. Doors open at 11:00a.m. & serving continues until 1:00p.m. Advance Tickets are $7.00 & tickets at the door are $8.00. Rochester Ballpark Fundraiser

Saturday night April 16, members of the Rochester community gathered at the Rochester Community Building for a Rochester Ballpark fundraiser.  Beans and cornbread, hot dogs, chips, various desserts and drinks were served.  Over $500 was raised.  Thanks to Sue Hammers, Sandy Priddy, Allison Ramsey, Amber Smith and all others who helped with this event.  Also, thanks to those who cooked and all donations that were gathered.

Craft Academy for Excellence in Science and Mathematics at MSU has selected its Class of 2018

The Craft Academy for Excellence in Science and Mathematics at Morehead State University has selected 60 students for its Class of 2018.

“I am extremely pleased to announce the Craft Academy for Excellence in Science and Mathematics Class of 2018. These students represent some of the Commonwealth’s best and brightest. The application and selection process was very competitive again this year, and we look forward to welcoming these young scholars to the Morehead State University campus in the fall,” said Dr. Carol Christian, director of the Craft Academy.

BCMS Students Travel to Washington

While some traveled to a relaxing Spring Break at the beach, a group of Butler County Middle School students traveled to our nation’s capital. Hosted by Butler County teacher Cody Donaldson, these students set out to learn more about the history they are learning in the classroom.

Books and Breakfast

Margie, Cheyenne and Floyd Ping

The Butler County Family Resource Center held the annual "Books and Breakfast with Dad" program for first grade students and their families on March 24th at North Butler Elementary and March 31st at Morgantown Elementary School. The turnout this year was wonderful!  We had 72 family members attend the FRC Programs!

The Books and Breakfast Program is geared toward helping dads strengthen their connection and involvement in the lives and education of their children.

North Butler Art Show

An Art Show will be held tomorrow from 3:00 to 6:30 at North Butler Elementary.  The event will feature student art projects and is open to the public.

April 11–15, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday:   8:30 AM – 3:00 PM
Thursday:  8:30 AM – 6:30 PM
Pre-registration for the Butler County Public Schools will be conducted April 11 - 15 at the school your child will attend.  NOTE:  Students living south of the Green River shall attend Morgantown Elementary.  Students living north of the Green River shall attend North Butler Elementary.

Class of 2006 Reunion

The Butler County Class of 2006 will be hosting their 10 year class reunion on July 9th, 2016 (Time TBD) at Indian Hills Country Club in Bowling Green, KY. Ticket purchase covers a meal and rental cost of the venue.

Ticket price: $30 per person
