Ana Diaz selected for WRECC Tour

Butler County High School would like to congratulate junior, Ana Diaz, who was recently selected to participate in the WRECC Frankfort Youth Tour, on April 27.   During the Frankfort Youth tour,  Ana was selected to represent WRECC and Butler County High School, along with other area students, to participate in the WRECC Washington DC Youth tour June 10-17, 2016.

Ana is the daughter of Rey and Michelle Diaz of Morgantown.

Kinkade to join BTN as a new columnist

The month of May comes every year, thank goodness, and with it comes springtime in Kentucky, going barefoot, playing outside again and delicious strawberries around Mother’s Day. What a wonderful treat they were.

Butler County Drug-Free Community Coalition

Butler County Drug-Free Community Coalition was recently awarded a federal drug-free communities grant of $125,000 per year for five years. This grant gives us the opportunity to work with our school system, local businesses, law enforcement, Chamber of Commerce, and local churches. With the grant, we were able to appoint a board of directors and 12 sectors within the county. Our board members are Karla Coles- Chairperson, Kaitlin Harrison- Vice Chairperson, Stacha Murphy- Treasurer, and Tiffany Norris- Secretary.
