Court makes hires for custodial, road department; budget, amendments approved

Butler County Fiscal Court met on Tuesday, December 27, at the courthouse. All magistrates were in attendance Stevie Givens, Kevin Phelps, Timmy Givens, David Whittihghill, and Dillon Bryant. Allen Smith, the newly-elected Third District magistrate, was also in attendance.

U.S. Post Office Holiday Closings

KENTUCKY-WEST VIRGINIA DISTRICT — Christmas 2022 and New Year’s Day 2023 both fall on a Sunday, when Post Office locations nationwide are already closed. Post Offices will observe these federal holidays on Monday, Dec. 26, 2022, and Monday, Jan. 2, 2023.

REALTOR Association of SoKy distributes more than 5,000 servings of food to BC families

Morgantown, Ky. —REALTOR Association of Southern Kentucky (RASK) and Feeding America, Kentucky’s Heartland (FAKH) recently teamed up to distribute a total of 5,044 servings of food to Butler County families facing hunger this winter. The food was delivered to Butler County School District on Tuesday, Dec. 13.
