Thousands of Kentucky hunters will hit the woods this Saturday, Nov. 10, the opening day of modern gun deer season.
A large crowd was on hand late Sunday night as the State Champion Butler County Middle School football team returned to Morgantown. An impromptu pep rally was held at the middle school gym and the team went on parade through town celebrating the championship.

The BCHS Bears football season came to a close on the road at Caldwell County High School last Friday night, falling to the #1 seed Caldwell County Tigers by the score of 51-14. The Bears, the #4 seed, came in as a heavy underdog.

The Butler County Cross-Country team competed in the Class 2A Regional meet on Saturday November 3rd where the girls team took Region Runners-Up Honors. It is the first time in 9 seasons a full team has qualified for the state meet.

Three Butler County High School softball players attended a college expo event on Thursday, October 18. Madeline Drake, Amy Rogers, and Lynsie Clark attended the all-day event sponsored by BSA Softball of Scottsville and held at Campbellsville University.
