Butler County native Dean Jenkins has signed a letter of intent to continue his football career as a Blue Raider at Lindsey Wilson College in Columbia. Jenkins, currently a senior at Edmonson County High School, played running back and defensive back for the Wildcats this season.

The Lady Patriots of Allen County-Scottsville High School were in Morgantown on Tuesday night to take on the BCHS Lady Bears. The Patriots came into town with a 13-9 record for the first of two games with BCHS this season.

After some tough outings it was time for the Bears and Lady Bears of Butler County to get back to the business of winning Monday night. Their opponents were the Raiders and Lady Raiders of tiny Trinity High School in Whitesville.

The BCMS Cheerleaders were in competition again Saturday, January 21 at Bowling Green High School. The squad took first place in the Large Division beating Grayson Middle, Warren East Middle, and Monroe Middle School.

The Ohio County Lady Eagles rolled into Morgantown on Thursday night to take on the BCHS Lady Bears. The 11-9 Lady Eagles and Coach Ted Hill were hoping make it a sweep of BCHS teams by OCHS this week after Tuesday night’s Eagles win over the Bears 66-49.
The Butler County High School Bears were at home for a rare ‘twilight’ start on Saturday afternoon. Their opponents, the Cumberland County Panthers, had traveled nearly three hours for the matchup with the Bears.
