The Butler County Lady Bears started the 2013-2014 season off 2-0 picking up wins on Monday and Tuesday night. Butler County defeated Hancock County 43- 34, and easily cruised to a 55-21 win over the Lady Panthers of Russellville.

It was a short but sweet basketball week for the BCMS Bears as they prepared for Thanksgiving Break. Due to the threat of snowy weather the Bears’ Tuesday night game against Muhlenberg South had to be cancelled, but the real story was Monday night’s game against the Ohio County Eagles.

Basketball season for the Butler County High School Bears and Lady Bears begins this week. The Lady Bears tip off their campaign on Monday in Morgantown against the Hancock County Lady Hornets.

The Butler County Little Lady Bears have finished another exciting season of basketball for young girls. Starting in early September, the developmental league was open to girls in grades K-6th. Approximately 50 girls played in the league.
