Chris Burden of WRECC sets the exercise in motion

The Butler County Water Plant was the scene of an emergency exercise recently when employees of the Butler County Water System and Warren Rural Electric Cooperative Corporation went through a drill designed to represent a power outage of more than six hours.

A one vehicle wreck this morning has left one man in police custody. The wreck occurred just before 11 a.m. on Helm Lane across from the parking lot for the city pool. The red Chevy S10, driven by Ricky L. White, was traveling south on Helm Lane when he lost control of the vehicle.
