Bears Den will begin August the 9, 2012. Students may ride the bus from their school. Actual classes will begin August 14, 2012. Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. We will have snack at 3:00, classes begin at 3:30 with homework, tutoring and mentoring until 4:30.

The Butler County Extension Service/Butler County Farm Bureau Field Day will be Thursday, September 6th 2012 at the Eva Hawes Community and Agriculture Exhibition Center in the Morgantown City Park. The program will begin at 4:00 p.m. with registration beginning at 3:30 p.m.

Beech Tree Media has teamed up with the non-profit group Cell Phones for Soldiers to collect and donate used cell phones to the program. The cell phones collected are sold to a recycling company and the money received is used to purchase phone cards.

The weather could not have been better as the Crossmen Quartet sang to a delighted crowd on the courthouse square Saturday evening. Darren Doyle filled in for Darren Lawrence as the event, a part of the summer concert series, was held under the shade trees on the lawn.

The Little Muddy RD Club met July 16th, 2012 at 6:30 p.m. There were 23 people present. The meeting began with Bill Hatcher leading the club in the pledge to the American flag. Jeremy Hudnall gave the blessing for the meal.
