Jarrod Jacobs: Love In Marriage

Last week, we began a study of love in marriage. Specifically, we began studying what the Bible says about love from I Corinthians 13 and made applications to the marriage relationship. Why write about this subject and remind men and women of love in marriage? For one reason, it is because the Bible talks about such things. Certainly, this ought to be reason enough for the one who respects God’s word!

Moms have a tough job. Would you agree?   Recently people everywhere celebrated Mothers through Mother’s Day.   And we should. Moms often work more hours than thinkable to raise their kids and fulfill all the other obligations in and out of the home.  And yes. They often do not get the recognition or appreciation for all the long, hard days and nights devoted to their families.

Endorsement of Dukes Candidate for 15th District State Representative

In the upcoming 2022 primary election I would like to officially endorse Timothy R. Dukes for the office of State Representative in the 15th District in Western Kentucky that includes both Muhlenberg and Butler Counties.  While we have two good candidates in the Republican Primary, I believe Timothy “Tim” Dukes has the more experience and greater set of skills both in life and business creation that are needed to successfully serve in the office at this time in our state’s history.

Endorsement of Swift Candidate for Butler County PVA

The election is coming up in a few days and I want to take a moment and ask for your vote for Butler County PVA. This process started for me back in November and I've been working extremely hard to get out and see as many people as possible. I've battled the cold and snowy days in December, found roads I never knew existed and even had a few run ins with some K-9 friends.

Cheryl Hughes: Basement Excavation

I knew I had better start praying for Mother’s Day weekend the week before Mother’s Day weekend.  Garey’s mom, Aggie, needed two refrigerators and one freezer moved, two of which were in her basement.  Garey and his sister, Charlotte, lined up some help in the form of Charlotte’s son, Brad, and the son of one of their cousins, Patrick, but it was the prep work that had me worried.

Jim Waters: Biden's political hacks won't stop charter schools' growth

While the Supreme Court obviously wanted to keep its Roe v. Wade conversation confidential, President Joe Biden is making no secret of his disdain for public charter schools.

Much to the delight of teachers’ union bosses, Biden’s administration is quickly becoming history’s most anti-(school) choice political pack, demonstrated most recently in its proposals to make charter schools’ access to federal funding more difficult.

Jarrod Jacobs: Love In Marriage

Something that needs to be seen is the love expressed between a man and woman in marriage. Those who are not married are one day going to be the recipients and givers of such love, and they need to look at those currently married to see what it is like to love someone and live with them for the rest of their lives.

The Brutal Killing continues. The resolve and spirit of the people of Ukraine remain strong despite the overwhelming odds from the Russians. President Zalenski has proven to be a formidable and passionate leader as opposed to his counterpart Putin who will be remembered for his vicious and evil and meaningless attacks on a country who did not provoke. Who did not deserve such terrible treatment.
