Even though our weather doesn’t yet feel like fall, leaves are beginning to turn and fall decorations are coming out. We’re also in apple and pumpkin harvest time. So, fall foods are on my mind, and as the weather turns cooler, I’ll be using the following recipes.     

Humor me this go- ‘round:

            A farmer went into a hardware store to buy some tools. In the store, the storekeeper asked the farmer if he would like to buy a bicycle.

Last week, I visited my daughter, Nikki, in Covington, Louisiana, just north of New Orleans.  I always enjoy visiting her and her husband’s house.  It’s light and airy.

            Questions can be useful tools when teaching people. Jesus knew the power of questions and asked them often when He taught folks. Let us look at two questions Jesus asked and make some applications to ourselves.

Last week Owl’s Head filed their Notice of Intent to construct a landfill in Butler County. I want to make sure everyone understands just what their intent is.

This week was the kickoff for most of the new fall series’ and episodes.  It also marks the end of an era.  Wednesday night, after nine seasons, Suits will air its series finale. 

This week I am beginning to look for television programming to entertain me when I have free time. I like to record programs – often watching multiple episodes in a sitting. The way we watch television is definitely evolving.

Looking at fall network programs, the following are on my should-watch-at-least-once list:

We each have different work to do; we can it be, “all things to all people.”

We read in Romans 12:2, “Don’t copy the behavior and customs of others, be your own person in all you do and think.” (LB)
