Phillas Jean Morris, 78 of Morgantown, KY passed away Tuesday, August 3, 2021 at the Greenview Regional Hospital in Bowling Green, KY. Phillas was born on Monday, January 11, 1943 in Butler County, KY to the late Mayburn and Aster Kessinger Daugherty and wife of the late Dewey C. Morris. She was a member of New Liberty Missionary Baptist Church and enjoyed crossword puzzles, playing solitaire, dancing and spending time with family. Other than her parents and husband she is preceded in death by one brother Johnny Clay Daugherty.

Phillas Jean Morris is survived by one daughter Teresa Zackery husband Richard of Morgantown, KY; one son Dale Morris wife Sherry of Morgantown, KY; grandson Tyler Stanley of Owensboro, KY; 6 great grandchildren; one sister Linda Sue Evans of Morgantown, KY; one brother Donnie Daugherty wife Debbie of Somerset, KY; special nephew Chad Morris and several other nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel Friday, August 6, 2021 at 2:00pm with Bro. Gene Garner and Bro. Paul Parks officiating. Burial will be held in the New Liberty Cemetery where Eric, Chad, Larry, Steve, and James E. Morris, Tyler Stanley, Geoffrey Johnson and Mike Cardwell will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 5, 2021 from 4:00pm - 8:00 pm and Friday 8:00am until funeral time at 2:00pm at the Jones Funeral Chapel.
