Sunday night June 30, approximately 40-50 people gathered at Monticello Baptist Church for ice cream, fellowship and games.  The impending rain didn’t dampen spirits.  There were many choices of ice cream, from standard chocolate and vanilla to banana pudding and butter pecan.

Friday evening June 28, many residents of the Rochester community gathered at the Rochester City Park for a Summer cookout.  There were hamburgers, hotdogs, and plenty of condiments, chips, drinks and homemade desserts.  Before and after the meal, there was plenty to do for all age groups.  There was volleyball, corn hole, etc.  After a short rain, in which everyone  gathered under the pavilion, there was  a great fireworks display to end the evening.

The two hour plus free concert, met with many cheers from the crowd, was the second in a series of concerts planned for the summer.

Who would you like to hear in concert on the courthouse lawn?
