Juniors and Seniors at BCHS...Bring your parents out to the PARENT UNIVERSITY and HEALTH FAIR tomorrow night (Thursday March 13th) 3:30-6:30 at the BCHS Library Media Center

You will learn what you need to do for financial aid, how to begin college entrance applications and admissions, what classes are DUAL credit, a work placement program called WIA. A health fair will be going on at the same time. Representatives will be there from Western Kentucky University, Bowling Green Tech, ROTC and Mid Continent University. Counselors and Adult Education representatives will be on hand.

There will be a baby shower for Roman Henry Ross on Sunday, March 23, 2014, at 2:00pm at the Eva Hawes Building.  His parents, Rachel and Nathan Ross have registered at Target, Babies "R" Us and Pottery Barn Kids.

We will have the High School Counselors, Vonda Jennings, Butler County Area Technology, Adult Education and Representatives from Western Ky University, MidContinent University, Bowling Green Tech, Various Health professional to address health and nutrition issues.

Please join us at the Little Muddy Community Center on Saturday, March 22 at 1:00 to celebrate the upcoming arrival of baby Cambell.  Amber and Luke atee registered at Babies R Us and Target. 

The 5k Leprechaun Run/Walk will take place on Sautrday, March 15th, beginning at Butler County Middle School. Registration will be at 7:45, Run/Walk begins at 9 a.m., with awards ceremony at approximately 10:15.

Entry fee is $10 for students K-12, $12 for adults, and $30 for a family (1 or 2 adults plus children). Awards will be given to overall male and female winners, and in age divisions.

It was a special Butler County connection that brought a Colorado Springs, Colorado couple to Morgantown Thursday morning to be married. Brian Lane Smith, fiancée Sarah Yeagley and her son Devin chose the lobby of Morgantown Care and Rehab so Brian’s grandmother, Mary Woosley and great-grandmother, Luella Deweese, could attend. Luella is a resident of the facility.

Please join us for a celebration of 60 years of Band in Butler County!  Bring your instrument, band pictures and we can blend all the generations of Band members by playing some music together with the current Butler County High School Band on March 15, 2014 from 2:00-5:00pm at the Butler County High  School.  Share some great memories! Once a band member always a band member, hope to see you there.

On Saturday, March 1st, the 19th annual Regional Bridge Building Competition was held at the WKU Center of Research and Development in Bowling Green.  This year’s competition featured 4 schools and 73 qualifying contestants.  39  students from Butler County Middle School and one 5th grade student entered bridges in the middle school division.
