4-H Heritage & Agriculture Leadership Tour

Join us for 8 days of historical and agricultural highlights that helped shape American history! We will be going to Washington DC (Capital, Smithsonian, and Monuments), Monticello, Colonial Williamsburg, Mount Vernon and Gettysburg from April 1-8, 2017.

Space is limited for this tour. Come by the Butler County Extension Office to pick up a registration form and more information regarding the tour. You don’t want to miss out on this trip!

BCMS Lady Bears Recognize 8th Grade Players

Monday November 28 hosted a busy night for the BC Bears / Lady Bears Community. The Butler County High School Bears and Lady Bears were both playing, as were both the BCMS Bears and BCMS Lady Bears. The BCMS Lady Bears Recognized their 8th graders who are finishing out their final basketball season before moving on to high school. The following were those who were recognized.

Santa is coming to MB&T Bank on Friday

A special visitor all the way from the North Pole will be at Morgantown Bank & Trust. Santa will be at the Main Bank Location, on Friday, December 2 from 2:00-4:30. Kids bring your Christmas List and sit on Santa’s lap for pictures with Santa. Laurie Keen Photography will be taking complimentary 4×6 photos with Santa. Remember Santa is always watching!

Brumlow and Embry Wedding

The wedding of Amy Beth Brumlow and Rowland Eugene Embry was performed by Bro. Larry Dickson at 4 p.m. July 23, 2016, at Belmont General Baptist Church in Butler County.

The bride is the daughter of Carol Brumlow of Bowling Green and the late Victor Brumlow. The groom is the son of Cody and Monnie Embry of Henryville, Ind.

The family of Margaret Southerland would like to express our gratitude to everyone for your love and support at this difficult time.

MCRC Elders Visit Disney

Walt Disney stated, “You’re dead if you aim only for kids.  Adults are only kids grown up anyway.” His famous words ring true, Disney is not just for young children it’s also for the young at heart.  Morgantown Care and Rehab was able to take two elders to Disney World on a once in a lifetime excursion for the third time in three years.

9th Annual Festival of Trees

The holiday season is upon us and the Butler County Chapter NSDAR has been working for over a month to ready the Friendly Furniture building into a winter wonderland with 75 decorated trees or wreaths on display this year. The ideas continue to bring amazement with trees and decorations being made from some unique materials. You just have to see them. Local businesses, families and civic organizations have contributed to this year’s event.
