Bears Blast Daviess 11-1; Fall to Muhlenberg

Daviess County didn't put up much of a fight on Wednesday as the Bears cruised to a blowout 11-1 win in five innings at Butler County.

The Bears scored four runs in the fourth on an RBI single by Madeline Drake, an RBI single by Amy Rogers, an RBI single by Natoshia White, and an RBI double by Lynsie Clark.

Drake racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Bears.

The Butler County High School Boys Tennis Team advanced their record to 2-1 on the season, defeating Russellville on the road, March 19th.

BCHS Baseball Goes 1-3 On the Week

After an easy victory over Todd County last Thursday, the BCHS baseball squad ran into trouble at the South Warren Lead Off Classic over the weekend.  The Bears faced off against South Warren, Allen County, and Owensboro in the tournament.  The Bears dropped all three-tournament games Friday and Saturday against good competition.

Game Plan Outdoor Expo

Bears Celebrate a Season to Remember

 The Varsity Team next to their 12th District Championship Banner.

The Butler County Bears Basketball Team gathered Saturday at the Butler County Educational Complex for their annual awards banquet.  The ceremony began with a welcome by Teresa Woodcock and Coach Dockery, a prayer from Zeke Woodcock, and then a catered meal.

Bears Offense too much for Russellville in 11-0 rout

The Bears Softball Team shut the door early on Russellville, capturing a 11-0 victory on Friday night at Butler County.  Eleven runs in the first three innings allowed the Bears to take control of the game.

A two-run triple by Natoshia White and a two-run home run by Lynsie Clark during the first inning and an RBI single by White and a two-run single by Lynsie Clark in the scond inning fueled the Bears' offense early.

Girls' Softball League hosting sign-ups

The Butler County Girls' Summer League Softball will host sign-ups on Saturday, March 16 and Saturday, March 23, from 9 to 11 a.m. at McDonalds in Morgantown.  The league is for girls ages 5-10 as of April 1.  The cost will be $50 and that includes uniforms.

Tennis: Boys drop 2-7 decision to Eagles, Girls defeat Ohio Co. 8-1

The Lady Bears Tennis Team moved to 2-0 on the young season, taking down region-foe Ohio County in Morgantown on Monday afternoon.

BCHS, BCMS come together to help BC Cancer Assistance

The faculty and staff of BCMS brought home the trophies.  Pictured above are Cody Donaldson, Principal Robert Tuck, Assistant Principal Tim Freeman, and Ryan Emmick posing with the hardware.

On Thursday, March 7, the faculties and staffs of Butler County High School and Butler County Middle School squared off on the court. The game was organized as a fundraiser for Butler County Cancer Assistance. Both sides put on a great show for a large number of fans, but Butler County Middle School held on to win, taking home the trophy.
