 Representative C.B. Embry, Jr., R-Morgantown (17th District) (right) donated a portrait of the 1948 Kentucky Senate to Kentucky Legislative Research Commission (LRC) Director Bobby Sherman (left). Deja Vu Consignments: A New Type of Consignment Store

“A little bit of everything,” is the way Danny and Terri Sallee describe their new business, Déjà Vu Consignments.  The store, located at 127 North Main Street in Morgantown, opened for business on April 2nd.

The couple moved to Morgantown from the Glasgow area, where they ran a successful jewelry store for several years.  Terri created original pieces for their shop and did extensive jewelry repair for her customers until serious health problems made it too difficult for her to continue in that line of work.

Ford, jail inmates among Grand Jury indictments

The Butler County Grand Jury returned indictments against 26 individuals.  Arraignment for the individuals listed below has been set for May 8, 2012 at 10:00am.  Charges included theft, wanton endangerment, assault, unlawful transaction with a minor, and drugs.

SHOTS FIRED: Dad shot, Mom held hostage, son hiding - NOT!

A fake call made to a Morgantown Police Department number early Sunday morning - not 911 - resulted in the unnecessary dispatch of an array of Butler County law enforcement officers and emergency personnel.  The male caller, who falsely identified himself as Sean Sebastian, reported a shooting at 4867 Brooklyn Road in north Butler County.

Fugate Elected FFA Green River Region President

Tori Fugate was elected Future Farmers of America President of the Green River Region on Tuesday, April 10th at Apollo High School in Owensboro, Kentucky. Each Year all FFA Chapters choose one member to represent their chapter and that person runs for Office to represent the Region. Fugate was one of several High School Students in the 10 School Wide Region that was chosen.
