Murray State University named Aspen Arnold as Outstanding Senior

Murray State University has named Jeff Payne and Aspen Arnold as the Outstanding Seniors recipients for fall 2020. Students recognized with this honor are known for their academic excellence and professionalism.

Aspen Arnold is a psychology major and sociology minor from Quality, Kentucky.

A new judicial center is still on the horizon for Butler County as local citizens move forward with plans for the facility.

Over $18K raised for Morgantown Mission holiday meals

 The annual Radiothon for the Morgantown Mission, held Thursday, November 5, was a huge success.  Over $18,000 was raised for holiday meal baskets at Morgantown Mission, which partners with WLBQ to host the annual event.  The amount of money donated by the community will translate to over 600 meals being provided to Butler County families over the holiday season.  Individuals and groups across the community and beyond stepped up to sponsor multiple $30 holiday meal baskets.

Butler County Schools shift to "Orange" Status due to COVID-19; athletics paused
