The Butler County cross-country team traveled to Barren County on Thursday September 27th for a district Varsity meet. The girls Varsity team finished 3rd out of 9 schools and was led by freshman Olivia Neighbors who finished 8th overall with a time of 22:09.

From the Sidelines was very wet and muddy this week but that did not stop the Bear fans. the Butler County High School Band and the Butler County Middle School Band combined on Friday night at the game and what a great sound. The bands also performed at half time in front of the bleachers.

Director Jason Ausbrooks and the Butler County High School Marching Band took to the field in a pair of competitions in neighboring Warren County on Saturday, September 30 - one at Warren East and the other at Warren Central.

In a key Class 2A District matchup the Union Co./Butler Co. game provided plenty of fireworks and scoring for fans. Union Co. entered the game (1-5) overall; while the Bears (4-2) were hoping to rebound off a two game losing skid.

The Butler County T-ball and Tiny Tot Ball has completed their season. Players ranged from 2-5 years old and a total of 12 teams participated from mid August through September. Parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and siblings filled the stands and cheered for their favorite team.

The Butler County Middle School 8th Grade football team finished their regular season in style on Monday night by capturing the Green River Valley Conference title defeating Edmonson County 30-16.
