The TBall and Tiny Tot League started play on Monday night at the Charles T. Black City Park. The Tball teams, which consist primarily of 4 and 5 -year-olds and the Tiny Tots teams, which is 2 and 3 year olds will be playing at 5:30 and 6:30 p.m.

The Butler Co. Bears opened the 2012 football season on the road with a border clash with long time foe Logan Co. Cougars. Football time in Kentucky, as all across the Bluegrass this past weekend fall like temperatures and high school football week one set the stage.

The brick walkway at BCHS in front of the Athletic Facility is complete. There is some landscaping to be completed, but the bricks and the bear statue are in place.
Butler County Little League will be holding fall ball sign-ups on august 23, 2012, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Morgantown City Park.

The BCHS Bears football team looks to build on their success from last season when they kick-off their 2012 campaign this Friday night when they travel to Logan County. The Bears advanced to the second round of the KHSAA playoffs last year and ended their season with an 8-4 record.

The Morgantown-Butler County Swim Team had 3 swimmers to take part in the Bluegrass State Games on Saturday, July 21, 2012.
Cameron Joiner swam in 2 individual events and 1 relay, his relay team received a medal for the 200 Medley Relay.
With the start of school comes the beginning of fall softball for Butler County Middle School. Practicing daily since mid-July, the team opens its 2012 season today, Saturday, August 11, at home against Christian County at 4 p.m.
