Woodcock's last-second shots propel BC to victory over Franklin-Simpson

Butler County senior guard Zeke Woodcock hit a shot to put the game into and another one to win it - a three-pointer at the buzzer - to propel his team to a dramatic 59-58 win over visiting Franklin-Simpson on Tuesday night.  Woodcock turned in a stellar performance, finishing the game with 24 points, 13 rebounds, and four assists.  Zack Burden added 15 points.

The game was close all the way as the Wildcats led by one after the first quarter and the Bears led by one at halftime.  An even third quarter gave way to a two-point lead by Franklin-Simpson late in the game when Woodcock's basket sent the game to overtime.  Trailing by two in the overtime period, Woodcock hit a 25-foot three pointer to win the game for Butler County, 59-58.

As a team, Butler County was 13/35 in field goals (37.1%); 4/10 in three-point goals (40%); and 9/13 in free throws (69.2%).  The game saw seven lead changes and nine ties.
