Butler County Lady Bears bow out of semi-final round of the Region 3 All 'A' Classic, as they fall 60-40 to the Lady Cougars of McLean County.  

Shawna West hit Butler County’s only three-pointer in the first quarter while seniors Katie Graham added three points, and Lynsie Clark added a free throw for Butler County’s seven points.

The first quarter proved to be tough for the Lady Bears as they fell behind 7-24.

 
Butler County outscored McLean County 9-8 in the second quarter but it was too little too late. Clark knocked down a jumper at the end of the second quarter as the Lady Bears were down 32-16 at half.

 “We played better the second half, but the first quarter hurt us,” said Coach Christy Clark.  
Butler County struggled shooting 29 percent from the field for the game.

The Lady Bears will play Warren East on Monday and again on Thursday as they make up postponed games.  They will travel to Grayson County on Friday, January 31st and host McLean County on Saturday.
