Lillian Whitaker Cardwell was born September 4, 1918, to William and Osie Flener Whitaker and left for a better world February 5, 2017. Her mother succumbed to the 1918 flu epidemic, and for seven years she was raised by an aunt. She was then moved to maternal grandparents, Jake and Arinda Coot
