Edith Gidcumb

Edith Gidcumb, 87 of Morgantown, Ky. passed away Friday, February 3, 2017, at her residence. Edith was born January 17, 1930, in Ohio County Kentucky to the late M.L. and Dixie Douglas Blanchard and wife of the late Clay "Stinger" Bratcher and James E. "Jimmy" Gidcumb. She was a member of Walnut Grove Missionary Baptist Church and retired from General Electric in Owensboro, Ky. after 37 years. Other than her parents and husbands she is preceded in death by three brothers Alvie Glen Blanchard, Owen Clyde Blanchard and Oscar Lee Blanchard and two sisters Nora Lucille Johnson and Janice Sue Phelps.

Edith Gidcumb is survived by one brother Larry Blanchard (Linda) of Bowling Green, Ky.; two step-daughters Debra Withrow of Indianapolis, Indiana and Mary Rose Dieg of Evansville, Indiana; several nieces and nephews and her loving dog Rusty.

Funeral services will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel Monday, February 6, 2017, at 1:30 pm with Bro. Stony Hildabrand and Bro. Todd Phelps officiating.
Burial will be in the Walnut Grove Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 5, 2017, from 3:00 pm - 8:00 pm and Monday 8:00 am until funeral time at 1:30 pm at the Jones Funeral Chapel.
