The Butler County Fiscal Court met in special session on Thursday night. The magistrates addressed a busy agenda, in a meeting lasting more than an hour. All magistrates were present along with several citizens.

A trio of late-night break-ins has led to the arrest of a Morgantown man. Shortly after midnight early Sunday morning, June 22, local law enforcement officers were contacted after a report of a possible intruded walking around inside the Mexican Store Taqueria y Billar on G.L.

Relay for Life was a huge success this year. Due to weather being so unpredictable, event organizers decided to schedule this year's Relay inside the high school gym. Another change was the closing ceremony was moved to midnight, instead of six am.
