Relay for Life Nets $10,000 for Research

Relay for Life was a huge success this year. Due to weather being so unpredictable, event organizers decided to schedule this year's Relay inside the high school gym. Another change was the closing ceremony was moved to midnight, instead of six am.

There were ten teams that came to set up booths to sell food and other items. Relay for Life had the privilege of honoring the survivors of cancer and those that had lost the battle of cancer. Butler County ended up raising around $10,000 to help go toward research to find a cure for this terrible disease.

Organizers want to thank everyone who came out and supported this year's Relay for Life and hope you'll come back next year.
